Toll Fraud & SIP Security
|
|
GTL Networks would like to remind our dealers that avoiding misuse and fraud via your telephone system is a matter that should be planned and controlled during the preinstallation period by customer and dealer. Constant monitoring of the system by the customer is also advised to detect any misuse subsequent to installation. The primary defence is reducing the risk of such attacks in the first place. By following good practice and ensuring normal password etiquette is maintained as well as turning off any services or features that are not required, this will minimise the opportunity for an attack to take place. There is a growing threat of SIP based attacks on the OfficeServ systems when they are connected to the Internet. Measures must be taken to protect customer systems from these attacks.
